Preferred, BA or BS in Public Relation, Customer Service or something related. if not, an outgoing personality and willingness to learn.
Enthusiastic and keen passion for education, arts, and culture.
Fluent in Arabic and English languages, both oral and written, and sign language or third language desired.
Friendly & welcoming.
Comfortable speaking to large groups.
Outgoing personality, ability to interact with a diverse group of visitors.
Customer service oriented, able to handle conflict, and comfortable with crowds.
Reliable, flexible, and patient, even under stress.
Takes initiative and has the ability to multitask and problem solve.
Have previous public speaking experience. The museum is always looking for docents who are enthusiastic, cheerful and willing to learn. They should have an interest in working with people and be willing to become actively involved in museum programs. Experience or education in history, art, bookbinding or teaching can be helpful, although not required.

مهام الوظيفة

A Museum Docent is a creative, imaginative, enthusiastic individual who provides interpretive services to the Museum visitors through guided tours and associated activities, as well as special events such as school programs, assisting with the Museum speaker series, exhibit openings, adult activities and Museum Outreach programs. All activities relate to the Museum’s mission. Utilizing the techniques of dialogue and inquiry, storytelling and demonstration, museum docents encourage visitors to explore the Museum 4 Galleries and Children’s Museum. The Museum Docents will work very closely with Gallery Educators, Research and Evaluation Team, and Volunteers.
